Overview

Dinner Bill Splitter is a utility designed to help users calculate and record how shared spending or a restaurant bill may be divided.

Calculations are guidance

All totals, weighted shares, adjustments, itemised shares and tip or service calculations are based on the values and choices entered by the user. They are provided as practical guidance rather than a guarantee of what any person legally or contractually owes.

User responsibility

Users are responsible for checking the original bill, service charges, discounts, taxes, payment requests and the final amounts that each person actually needs to pay.

Weightings and adjustments

Weighted mode is an approximation tool. The fairness of a weighting or individual adjustment depends on the choices made by the user and may not reproduce the exact value of every item consumed.

Itemised bills

Itemised mode calculates from the categories, items and values entered. It does not guarantee that every line on an original receipt has been included.

No payment service

Dinner Bill Splitter does not transfer money, settle debts, connect to bank accounts or process card payments. Users make any real payments separately using services of their own choice.

Receipt images and sharing

Users are responsible for the content of receipt images and notes they save or share. Sharing uses system services and third-party destinations that are outside the control of Dinner Bill Splitter.

iCloud availability

Where enabled, iCloud synchronisation depends on Apple's services, the user's account, device settings and connectivity. Synchronisation may be delayed or unavailable, so users should not rely on immediate cross-device updates for time-critical information.

No warranty

While we aim to provide a helpful and reliable app, we make no guarantee that calculations, saved information, synchronisation, sharing or other functionality will always be uninterrupted, complete or error-free.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Travel Tools & Tips and the creators of Dinner Bill Splitter accept no liability for payment disputes, incorrect shares, missed charges, data loss, delayed synchronisation or other losses arising from use of the app or website.

Third-party services

The app and website may link to or rely on third-party services including Apple iCloud, the Apple App Store and system sharing destinations. We are not responsible for the availability, content or policies of those services.

Changes

We may update the app, website or these terms from time to time. Updated terms will be published on this page.
