Why I built Dinner Bill Splitter
Many bill-splitting apps start with the assumption that every receipt should be scanned and itemised. That can be useful, but it can also turn the end of a meal into a data-entry exercise.
In real situations, people often already know enough: everyone shared roughly equally, a child should pay less, one person ordered much more, or only one expensive drink needs separating. Dinner Bill Splitter starts there.
Quick when it can be
Quick mode handles the common equal split. Weighted mode makes that split more realistic when some people spent more or less, without requiring full itemisation. Individual adjustments cover specific differences such as an extra bottle of wine.
Detailed when it needs to be
When the bill genuinely is more complicated, Itemised mode lets users enter the parts that matter. Receipt photos can be stored with the bill as a record, but OCR is deliberately not a required step.
